The aim of manual therapy is to treat and strengthen the joints, muscles, and spine to restore the body’s natural function. It can include such things as mobilization, manipulation, dry needling, massage, myofascial release, and fascial stretch therapy. This form of physiotherapy differs from other forms of physiotherapy in that it utilizes specific hands-on techniques, without the use of any devices or machines.

What is Involved in Manual Therapy?
