What is a Deep Tissue Massage?

Deep Tissue Massage | Max Physiotherapy | Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Massage and Health & Wellness Clinic | NE Calgary

Deep tissue massage uses different pressures and techniques to work out your muscles and get you feeling relaxed. We work deeper into the layers of connective and muscle tissue than a relaxation massage, using whichever therapeutic massage is most effective for your particular condition and/or preference. They do not hurt but will likely be more uncomfortable than a regular relaxation massage, as the muscles get worked out in a more direct manner. The aim is to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through deep finger pressure and slow strokes on the tense areas. Of course, we will always check in with you to make sure that the pressure is not too much for you!
